I Wanna Be Your Dog

I know I haven't been here much lately, not only did my laptop crash and burn, I've been really busy doing some amazing work.  I've done cool music videos with The Ting Tings (there's a little MTV article here), and Uffie.  I did some cool shoots with Scott Weiland, worked with an actress from the new movie Twilight, an actress from 90210, and an actress from Heroes.  I did a magazine cover with Victoria's Secret model Angela Lindvall using all eco friendly products (more on that later, but for now visit green make up artist)... Shot a tennis player with Claire and Jeremy, did a cool underwater shoot with Dan Monick, did another Playstation ad, got to work with Jason Nocito, Autumn De Wilde, and did quite a few amazing shoots with Alex Prager...  

I've also continued my never ending search for the perfect pair of false lashes!  I've found gypsy lashes!  Their website is really out dated, but the lashes are amazing and can be found at Cinema Secrets.  I must warn you though, my favorite pair are #96, so I braved the Halloween crowd and purchased the last four pairs they had.

Other than that, life is great!  Here's a shoot I did with Cory Kennedy for Foam magazine (shot by Dan Monick).

Also, it's kind of late notice, but my friends at WeSC are having a party today.  It's sure to go off, so if you live in LA you should go!

Littlest Things

Sorry to have disappeared for a bit!  The loss of Paul Starr really knocked the wind out of my sails, but I am looking forward now.  Paul's memorial service was so inspirational.  I left there wanting to be a better make up artist, a better friend, and most of all, a better person.  So... as Paul would want it... onward and upward!  

I had the absolute pleasure of making up Lily Allen for the September issue of Paper magazine!  She's always fun and wants to do creative stuff with her look!  We ate some In n Out burger (obviously) and listened to great music (I even got to hear some of her new stuff which is AMAZING!)...  

The amazing Dan Monick was the picture taker, and Johnny Stuntz was the hair do-er. :)

Reign In Blood

Awhile back I did make up (and some hair!) on a video for The Icarus Line.  It was directed by Dan Monick and features my buds Annie Hardy, Dora Hiller, and The Lady Tigra (among others).  It turned out so amazing!  Check it out!

All The Street's A Stage

I met Roger Gastman through my work with Swindle Magazine, and he recently put out this really cool book:

I think the product description says it best "this book celebrates the street as a stage for the visual creativity of a generation."

The book features some of my favorite street artistsy, and features some cool photos taken by my good friends Dan Monick, Aaron Farley, and Claire and Jeremy Weiss.

The Icarus Line - Gets Paid

Sunday night I ended up at this dive bar in Echo Park called Little Joy. The only other time I had ever been there was to shoot this Icarus Line video. The video was directed by Dan Monick, and features my BFF Annie Hardy on tambo and back up vocals... there's also cameos by my friend Dora... enjoy!
