Flaming Lips

When designer Tom Ford did a make up collaboration with Estee Lauder, it changed my life! He made some of my favorite makeup products ever! (The line had a limited run, but you can still find some pieces on ebay.)

Now my favorite menswear/eyewear designer is at it again! This time he is keeping it strictly lipstick!



The line will include the signature red shade he uses in all of his ads, along with a plum and a nude shade.

The lipsticks will be available in the US at Neimans and Saks as of June 1st, but they've already launched in the UK. I'm dying to try them out, so if any of my UK buddies want to send me a sample... ;)

Our Lips Are Sealed

Recently I was a guest at a great party for L'Oreal Paris at the Four Seasons Hotel. I met up with my great, great friends, make up artist Mai Quynh, and beauty writer/owner of The Beauty Closet, Shannon Levy.

The champagne and Elnett flowed at the fancy celebration. Afterward, we made our way down to the restaurant to continue the party. When my lips were feeling dry, I reached in my purse and grabbed my Dior Lip Polish.


I had no idea what a stir I would cause at our table. Everyone wanted to know what I was using and were all captivated by the formula, and innovative rotating applicator!

Fast forward to Thursday... I met up with Shannon at the Laurel Tavern so she could do a Q&A with me for BE magazine. When I walked in to the low-lit bar, I couldn't help but notice she looked radiant. I was so distracted when she was talking to me, I finally asked "what lip gloss are you wearing?"... "The Dior gloss you showed me at the Four Seasons!" she gushed. She went on to say how much she loves loves LOVES it (and let me tell you, this girl KNOWS her beauty products!).

Come to find out, she had even blogged about it on the beauty blog she shares with Mai, Lip Gloss Chicas.

So adorbs! I love turning my friends on to great products!

Tattoo You

I lucked out and got my hands on these Chanel temporary tattoos like the ones worn on the models during their S/S 10 show!

They're set to be released in March on the Chanel website, but I've already been having some fun with them on editorial shoots. I will be sure and show you the results when the shoots are published!
