I Wanna Be Your Dog

I know I haven't been here much lately, not only did my laptop crash and burn, I've been really busy doing some amazing work.  I've done cool music videos with The Ting Tings (there's a little MTV article here), and Uffie.  I did some cool shoots with Scott Weiland, worked with an actress from the new movie Twilight, an actress from 90210, and an actress from Heroes.  I did a magazine cover with Victoria's Secret model Angela Lindvall using all eco friendly products (more on that later, but for now visit green make up artist)... Shot a tennis player with Claire and Jeremy, did a cool underwater shoot with Dan Monick, did another Playstation ad, got to work with Jason Nocito, Autumn De Wilde, and did quite a few amazing shoots with Alex Prager...

I've also continued my never ending search for the perfect pair of false lashes!  I've found gypsy lashes!  Their website is really out dated, but the lashes are amazing and can be found at Cinema Secrets.  I must warn you though, my favorite pair are #96, so I braved the Halloween crowd and purchased the last four pairs they had.

Other than that, life is great!  Here's a shoot I did with Cory Kennedy for Foam magazine (shot by Dan Monick).

And here are some Lee Jeans ads I did with Brooke Nipar.

Also, it's kind of late notice, but my friends at WeSC are having a party today.  It's sure to go off, so if you live in LA you should go!

Cry Baby Cry

Finally I can show you the commercial I did for WeSC headphones!

This was a lot of work, but it was so much fun! I used a menthol blower and glycerine drops for the tears. I'm so happy with the way it turned out!

Here's another version...

What do you think?!

I'm Breaking My Back But It's All Good

My favorite new artist Lykke Li has a new video for her song I'm Good, I'm Gone.

She looks beautiful and the video is so cool! I'm pretty sure Mattias Montero directed it. I'm really dying to post the WeSC ad I did with him!

Something Like a Phenomena

One of my favorite magazines, NYLON, did an interview with one of my favorite photographers, Alex Prager, about one of my favorite clothing lines, WeSC, and the awesome art show she curated.

Fly Like Paper

The WeSC art show on Saturday was an amazing success!  I was surprised to see a shoot I did with Alex Prager there on display.

Besides doing the make up for this shot, I pitched in to write on a bunch of papers. It's so cool because there's one towards the top that has my writing on it along with some hearts! (You can actually see it better in person.)

I'm sooo in love with this picture.  I want to buy one of the huge prints for my house!  I have the perfect spot to hang it.  It's as if I've been saving the wall space for this picture to come into my life!

P.S.  The show is up through the 15th, so there is still time to go check it out!

I love you, love you a little bit...

I'm totally obsessed with Lykke Li right now.  She's from Sweden, and she's totally amazing.  This video is pretty awesome.  It was directed by Mattias Montero whom I recently had the pleasure of working with on a project for WeSC.  Small world.

My favorite song of hers is actually "Everybody But Me", you can stream it on her Myspace.

Hug It Out

I knew Vinny Chase was cool, but I had no idea how cool...  TMZ has video of him showing up to 5th and Sunset studios sporting WeSC, and refusing to talk to the photogs...  Loves it.

Update about my fun weekend coming later with more WeSC love for ya...

Art Star

This weekend I got to spend time with uber talented/uber hot photographer (and weactivist), Alex Prager.  Her work is pretty much mind blowing... check it out at www.alexprager.com.  She's rad.

Such A Smiling Sweetheart

I had such a fun weekend filled with work and friends. I have the coolest job in the world and I'm reminded of that all the time! I thought I would share this video with you because it is full of a lot of my favorite things...

Lily Allen is doing a cover of "Naive" by one of my favorite bands, The Kooks. Her make up was done by me, hair by Johnny Stuntz, and cute dress by WeSC!

The best part about this video is hearing all of the Los Angeles audience singing in an English accent. Too funny!

Hope your weekend was half as good as mine!

Nars lip lacquer in Chelsea Girls

Such a great nude color that's glossy but no shimmer!

I've been loving long time, but it just won Allure magazine's 2007 Best of Beauty award!

*Nars has a pretty dece make-up artist discount, but if you aren't a make-up artist, Sephora is currently having it's annual "Friends and Family" promotion.  Through Nov. 21st, enter "FF2007" at check out and receive 20% off.  Sephora also has free shipping on orders over $50 when you enter "FIFTY" at check out, so knock yourself out!

I get facials at Dermix Medical Spa in Toluca Lake.  My bff Annie turned me on to them.  They are the best.  I've been sending all of my friends there.  I highly recommend them (if you go, tell them I sent you, they love referrals).   They've been using this lip balm on me at the end of my treatment and my lips feel so amazing afterwards.  On Thursday I had a facial and I bought the cream.  I've been using it ever since and my lips feel moisturized, protected, and plumped (they make no claims that it plumps lips, but I really feel like it does)!

Grey clothing:

I realized I've been wearing a lot of grey lately, I have no idea why...
I'm totally obsessed with The Eve Jean by WeSc in "Vintage Black" (let's not kid ourselves here, it's grey)

I've also been wearing this totally cute dress from American Apparel (visit at your own risk, some images are kinda NSFW)

It's really cute and comfy. I put a belt around it so I don't look pregnant.  I love American Apparel! Where else can you get such a cute dress for $36?!

Speaking of comfy, you should check out Skater Socks!

I'm really picky about socks.  I like to say I have "toe line issues". If you have the same problem, this needs no explanation.  I'm on my feet all day, and I have to be comfortable!  For awhile I would only wear Gap athletic tube socks.  A friend of mine gave me some skater socks and I love them!  Not only are they MUCH CUTER than Gap socks, they are super, super comfy!

I finally saw it, and I loved it!  It was heart breaking and beautiful.  One of my favorite photographers, Anton Corbijn, directed it so of course every frame of the movie was mind blowing.  If it is playing anywhere near you (I had to make a 15 mile trek to Pasadena), I suggest you see it.

The song "Rockferry" has been rockferry-ing my face for the past three days.  She's been compared to Amy Winehouse, but I think she sounds more like Hope Sandoval from Mazzy Star, and how great is her hair?!

Speaking of hair, I've been totally obsessed with Urban Experiment hair products.

Urban Experiment is the new line of hair products from Redken.  The Grit Wax is my favorite.

It gives you a great "second day look" so your hair doesn't look so clean.  Ick.

The Holidays are upon us.  I know this for certain now because Starbucks has broken out the red cups and has brought back the Gingerbread Latte (my favorite!)...

That being said, it is time for Holiday make up collections!  Surprise, surprise, I am DYING OVER Chanel's Holiday collection.

BE STILL MY BEATING HEART!!!!

The Holiday Glossimer Trio would make a great gift!

*hint, hint*

Speaking of Chanel, their Coco Mademoiselle spokes model, Keira Knightly looks beautiful in Lula magazine.

I love the styling and natural look of the hair and make up, AND I WANT THOSE BOOTS!

And then, speaking of actresses looking amazing, check out Jennifer Jason Leigh on the cover of Wonderland Magazine...

How great is that styling/hair/make up?!  She's one of my favorite actresses.  She keeps it real! I love her.

WeAreTheSuperlativeCobraSnake

One of my favorite websites on the whole entire internet is The Cobra Snake... It's a total guilty pleasure.  I like to check out all the cool parties I missed, try to spot my friends, and see some great (and sometimes not-so-great) fashion/hair/make up.

Today I was checking it out and there was this picture of a picture of Mark the Cobra Snake in which I did his make up...

Right now you're probably like, "wait, what?  I'm confused!"...  I know! Me too.

You're also probably thinking "you mean to tell me a handsome guy like Mark the Cobra Snake needs make up!?"

This was an ad for one of my favorite clothing lines, WeSC. Not only do they make amazing clothes (I practically live in their jeans and hoodies), they are a really cool company that is super supportive of emerging artists, musicians, photographers, skaters, etc. I've been very lucky to be involved with them and I've done some really fun fashion shows that I need to post pictures of soon!

So at the same time I was surfing Cobey Snake, I received an email from my good buddy Jessie telling me all the new WeSC velour (like Mark is wearing in the ad) is now available in their stores! (coincidence?!)

I'm not entirely sure I could pull off this look (I'm sure you probably could)...  but I'm totally going to get this shirt...  It's SO CUTE!
Another thing that caught my eye whilst browsing The Cobra Snake was this girl...

She's so pretty!  I love her hair and make up and the fact that she seems very serious about that game she's playing!  Is it weird that my first thought upon seeing this picture was "hmmm...  I wonder if she used MAC "mulch" eye shadow..."?

On second thought, don't answer that.  I know I'm totally obsessed!
