I am having a major drugstore beauty moment right now. Wet n Wild, a brand I loved in high school, has come raging back in to my heart! Their megalast lip colors have an amazing, matte texture. They're highly pigmented, with a great variety of shades to choose from, and they cost $1.99!

This week I spent a few days working with Marina and The Diamonds.  Here she is performing How To Be A Heartbreaker on Jimmy Kimmel.

She's wearing wet n wild megalast lip color in dollhouse pink.

This color seems to be sold out all over Los Angeles, so happy hunting!

Vampire Waltz

I did True Blood actress Rutina Wesley's makeup for the Late Late Show.

Rutina is wearing a combination of short and medium individual lashes by eylure.

Sephora + NARS = ❤

Last month I was browsing the Sephora website, stocking up on Lancome HYPNÔSE when I ran across this amazing, limited edition NARS Sea of Love Set

The set contains mini sizes of
NARS Multiple in OrgasmNARS Blush in Super Orgasm, NARS Lip Gloss in Turkish Delight, and a full size NARS Illuminator in Laguna.

These happen to be some of my favorite products for creating a beachy, bronzy, natural look.  It turns out I like the Multiple even better in this mini size because it's easier to apply.  These products are great for my personal makeup kit because they're small and easy to travel with.  It's a great and affordable way to introduce some classic NARS products into your professional kit as well!

Another awards season has drawn to a close...  To wrap it all up, I made up Sky Ferreira for the 20th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party

Then from the hotel room to the red carpet...

I wanted to keep Sky's look pretty and natural, yet glam enough for Oscar night.  She's not wearing any false lashes, just tons and tons of mascara.  I lightly lined her eyes with Chanel Illusion D'Ombre eyeshadow in Illusoire, highlighted the apples of her cheeks with Chanel powder blush in Imprevu, and finished off the look with Chanel lipstick in Rouge Noir.

I'm Gonna Be A Supermodel

As you may know, I've been working on expanding this blog and taking it to a new platform that will include more user interaction. Well, to do it right takes time, and I want to do it right, so thanks for your patience!  There's so much I want to tell you in the meantime, so I've decided to keep updating during the transition!

Quite awhile ago a lovely makeup artist named Mae was assisting me and gave me some amazing lashes that a friend of hers had brought back from a trip to Asia. They were a brand called MODEL 21 and they were amazing!  I loved the shape, they were really full in the middle instead of the outer corners... Great for a dramatic look! I was OB-sessed.

I kept them tucked away in my kit and only used them for very special occasions like this photo shoot with Karmin

and this shoot with Mischa Barton...

Well, the sad day came that I ran out of the lashes, but little did I realize the entire time I was hoarding them away there was a website address right on the box! www.model21eyelashes.com

I've already placed 2 orders!

The lashes are very reasonably priced and come 10 pairs to a box. Right now they offer free shipping when you buy 3 boxes, if you buy 4 boxes, they throw in a free box of lashes (of their choosing).

Well, now you have your marching orders!  They're a small company, so let's try not to crash their website!

UPDATE:  The first order I placed with MODEL 21 arrived today!

Cute new packaging, same great lashes!

Turn Around Bright Eyes

As someone with very sensitive eyes, I am always on the hunt for the perfect eye makeup remover. Last week my search came to an end when I was gifted with Talika Oil Free Lash Conditioning Cleanser.

This innovative product not only removes stubborn eye makeup with ease, it actually conditions your lashes and is great for sensitive eyes like mine! Genius.
